Stanley Peele



Stanley Peele returned home to spirit on March 13, 2018 at age 84. Love and light to you, dear friend!

Stanley was a newspaper columnist,  writer, mediator, counselor, and nursing home volunteer. He retired as a judge in February 2013.  He helped create organizations dealing with young people and was a Big Brother to many youngsters. He was active in spiritual healing and was a facilitator of spiritual groups. He wrote articles and three books: A Simple Guide to Spiritual Healing, The River of Light, and What I Learned From Edgar Cayce .  He was a much loved friend to SESC and many others.

Malaika Pettigrew



Malaika made her transition in August 2020. Malaika (Swahili for Angel) dedicated her life to the service of others no matter where she was. She was multitalented and worked as a Life Coach, Energy Healer, and Dance Movement Instructor.

Malaika earned a Master's degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from J.F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California, and she taught at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and Naropa University for 11 years. Malaika founded the Institute for African American Leadership, and she served in leadership positions with a number of social change organizations serving low income/under resourced families, battered women, and teenage mothers.

Jayne Howard Feldman


Jayne Howard Feldman is an ordained interfaith minister, Reiki Master and curator of Angel Heights Healing Arts Center who maintains a private spiritual life coaching and counseling practice offering telephone and in-person consultations. 

She is the author of COMMUNE WITH THE ANGELS which is now in its 12th printing and published in five languages,  DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANGELS, and ANGELS BY MY SIDE. She is the founder of BE AN ANGEL DAY – celebrated annually on August 22nd.

Linda Robinson





Linda is an author, teacher, speaker, and channel with an emphasis on personal development, spirituality, and metaphysics. She is a messenger for the Angelic Realm of Light, the Divine Feminine, and the Hathors. She speaks at spiritual and metaphysical events on topics such as applying spiritual practices to daily life, the Divine Feminine, wisdom teachings from the Angelic Realm, and her pilgrimages to sacred sites.

Donna Spring Gulick




As a workshop leader, spiritual counselor, speaker and author, Donna has empowered others to recognize and use their intuitive skills, and to live in love and compassion for oneself and for all. 

For over four decades, she has conveyed universal truths that serve us in the interweaving of the sacred and the practical. At the end of May 2019, Donna closed her private practice. Led by guidance, she is now writing, creating "Nature Notes" as well as stories of times she and her husband Dave were guided to make radical moves or changes that made no logical sense, but that opened doors to greater service, community, and worlds unknown.

Gloria Karpinski


Gloria made her transition to Spirit in May 2025. We honor and bless her with much love and gratitude. 

Gloria was a holistic counselor, spiritual director, teacher, and author. Her seminars as well as her individual in-depth life attunements emphasize the relevancy of universal spiritual principles to everyday life and the interdynamics of mind, body, emotions, and spirit.

Gloria presented workshops, intensives, and keynote lectures in seven foreign countries (Italy, Germany, England, Switzerland, Scotland, Iceland, Bali, Greece) and in 16 states in North America as well as in over 50 cities. She conducted seminars and given lectures for such diverse groups as psychotherapists, actors and doctors, in venues ranging from large conferences to colleges, churches, hospitals and specialized groups.

She is the author of two books: Where Two Worlds Touch: Spiritual Rites of Passage and Barefoot on Holy Ground: Twelve Lessons in Spiritual Craftsmanship, both published by Ballantine Books.  Both books have been used as texts for interfaith seminaries and study groups.

Pam and Donald T. McMahon


Pam made her transition on February 23, 2022. Blessings to her and lots of love to Donald T and her family.

Pam and Don have been making music together for over 50 years. Together they are known as Straight From The Heart. These days they share their music at Reiki and Sound Healing Retreats, spiritual conferences, and at their home base, Heartspace Center of ONEness, in Green Creek, NC where they hold workshops, ceremonies, and concerts. 

Pam and Don teach Breathwork and Reiki and are committed to exemplifying and sharing ways of walking gently and harmoniously on the Earth, weaving the spirit of Peace and ONEness with every breath.

Ed is a certified massage therapist and physical therapy assistant who received his Reiki Master training from Timothy McNamara. He lives in Kansas, and we were so blessed that he visited us here in North Carolina for many conferences where he facilitated several beautiful Healing Services. Marie Andersen-Whitehurst




Marie is a clinical social worker, psychotherapist, and hypnotherapist with over 25 years of experience.   She is a crystal healer and instructor, a Reiki Master, a clinical aroma therapist, and has trained in many energy techniques including Energy Radiance, Ama Deus, and La Ho Chi.  She is also trained in Theta Healing and past life regression, and is a Certified Intuitive Healer.   
Marie owned Earth Songs, a gem and mineral store in Greensboro NC (some knew it as Rocks and Locks). She is a cancer survivor, mom to a wonderful dog, and friend to all.

LeRoy Zemke


LeRoy made his transition in February 2025. Love and gratitude to him! 

Reverend LeRoy Zemke was a teacher, minister, author, and internationally known intuitive consultant. For over 55 years, Rev. Zemke practiced and taught principles for effective living and increasing spiritual awareness. As a life-long student of esoteric studies, metaphysics, and world religions, he brought a powerful and insightful message to his professional work. He helped countless numbers of people throughout the U.S. and Europe to discover direction, inner clarity, and purpose for their lives.

LeRoy was senior pastor of the  Temple of the Living God, a non-denominational metaphysical church in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Nancy is a watercolor artist who weaves visual art with healing, energy work, and ministry.  Nancy began her journey of InterPlay leadership training in 2008. She has been leading in the Asheville, NC area since 2010, and was certified in 2011.

Mardella Sunshine Lowry



Mardella Sunshine Lowry is an artist whose areas are bead and leatherwork, quilting, wood, bone, and soapstone carving, and telling Legends. Born and raised in Robeson County, NC, she is a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. Mardella has been the featured artist across North America and overseas at hundreds of festivals, powwows, schools, and libraries. She has served as a mentor to American Indian artists across the country, and played an intricate role during the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC.

In 2012, Mardella was the Elder-in-Residence at the sixth annual Conference for American Indian Women of Proud Nations, where she offered the daily prayers and blessings.

She was also presented with a 2012 Distinguished Women of Honor Award for her exceptional ability to encourage, inspire, enlighten, and empower others as well as for her contributions to the American Indian community.
